Quito, Ecuador (SIGNIS ALC). RadioLío will be the name of the online radio station that SIGNIS ALC will launch in the coming weeks, as part of the radio training programme in which 95 young communicators from Latin America are participating.
The decision was made on Saturday, June 19, during the SIGNIS ALC advisory board meeting. The meeting brought together the presidents of the national associations participating in the training programme and the programme coordinators.
The name is an answer to Pope Francis’ invitation to the Argentine youth back in 2013, during World Youth Day, when he called on them to “hacer lio,” meaning to make noise, to stir things up.
The community and citizen radio training programme was launched on April 14, under the theme “Igniting the spark of the word”, and will run until December.
