(SIGNIS ALC). The community and citizen radio training programme was launched on April 14, 2021, under the theme “Igniting the spark of the word”.
Around 150 participants attended the virtual opening ceremony on ZOOM, while hundreds more followed the event through social networks.
For eight months, 95 young communicators from 11 SIGNIS partners in Latin America and the Caribbean will train in political education, critical analysis of the Latin American reality and radio tools.
The programme also includes the launch of an online radio station with broadcasts developed by the participants.
The programme is organized by SIGNIS ALC with the support of the Latin American Association of Radio Education (ALER) and the International Centre of Advanced Communication Studies for Latin America (CIESPAL).
