(SIGNIS ALC Joven). After several months of preparation, the virtual postgraduate program “Laudato Si’ Ambassadors’ (in Spanish, Embajadores Laudato Si’) was launched this Monday 12th of April, under the name “Advanced Studies Program in Spirituality and Pastoral Communication with Ecological Perspective”.
Thirty young communicators from 14 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean – most of them members of SIGNIS National Associations in the region – received a scholarship for training in communication and integral ecology, based on the magisterium of Pope Francis and the encyclical Laudato Si’. Seven professors will accompany them during their journey.
The “Laudato Si’ Ambassadors” program has a curriculum of fifteen credit units divided into seven subjects and will run until March 2022. It includes the development of a communication project with community impact.
The initiative is the fruit of a collaboration between SIGNIS ALC, SIGNIS Venezuela, the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB) and the Institute for Religious Theology (ITER).
